Questions: What is Jose going to do after graduation? What about Amiir? Is Amber answering Tsutomu’s question now? When is she going to talk to Tsutomu?
Practice: be about to: When I was about to leave home, my grandma called us. => How long did you talk to her? / When I was about to start my homework yesterday, my mom told me to do my homework. => What did you say to her? / When I was about to ask a presenter a question, someone asked the same one as mine. => Didn’t you ask anything after all?
Practice making a summary: Tsutomu is interviewing seniors at school. Jose and Amiir tell him about their hopes and dreams and everyone seems to enjoy answering his questions. When Tsutomu is about to talk to Amber, she suggests visiting the skyways in downtown to have an interview.  

Lesson 140
Talk about the picture
Listen to the story => Reading aloud
Questions: Why were skyways built? Why are they convenient for business people? What has Amber finish doing? What does she want Tsutomu to do?

Practice making a summary: Tsutomu is amazed at how skyways in Minnesota work in winter. People don’t have to wear coats or boots when they go around with skyways. Amber asks Tsutomu to read the first draft of her manga and give her his feedback.

Lesson Report Junior-1 January 29th

Hello J1 class! This is Miharu from MEL School. 
It’s Monday, January 29th, 2018.
It's sunny and cold today. 

It was snowy and chilly in the east of Russia the day before yesterday.
be動詞の過去形 was/wereの使い方を、世界各地の天気や気温の表現などを通してくり返し練習しました。何度も声に出すことで、発音にも慣れてきましたね。
次回からは新学年の学習が始まります。気持新たに、より高いコミュニケーション力と英語力を身につけるための練習に励みましょう。
