We've just finished the January term.

Today’s Scene: Have a student read it.

Vocabulary: skating rink

Talk about the picture: Fiona, Kento, and Minori are on a skating rink together. Minori is skating very well. Kento is sitting on a bench. 

Listen to the story and ask questions: Is Kento a good ice skater? – No, he isn’t. Why is he taking a break? – He is taking a break because he fell down a lot.

Gota says they can light some candles, and Moe likes his idea.

#1 Check the verbs in the box. Pick a student to have him/her read the verbs and the class repeats one at a time. *Do by segment. 

Complete the text individually. => Check and read it together.

#2 Have a student read a question. The class repeats.

Tell them to find the answers in the text and underline where they can find the answers. => Check the answers.
