*David asks Miki and Sho why they want to study English. Miki is sure Sho has strong feelings about studying English because he challenged her to a tennis match. Sho says he wants to be an international citizen.

*David gives Miki and Sho homework at the end of his first English lesson. Mimiko invites David to dinner, but can’t have it with them because he has things to do.  Sho also has to leave because Yoko is picking him up.
