It's Wednesday, December 16th.

It's been snowing in some parts of Japan! People who live in those areas need to work so hard to clear the snow. Hope they won't be badly affected. 

Tokyo recorded a new number of Coronavirus cases. Please do whatever you can to stay healthy!

Task: サッカーとラグビーの現在に至る歴史的背景を本文の内容に基づいて200-250字で説明しなさい。

サッカーとラグビーはもともと同じスポーツだった。サッカーは今とは異なるルールの様々な形態ではあるものの、イギリスでは数百年にわたり楽しまれていた。1820年代と1830年代に「ラグビースクール」という名のイギリスの学校で、ボールを持って走るスポーツが生まれたのが現在のラグビーの由来だ。足のみを使う現在のサッカーはイギリスをはじめ多くの国でフットボールと呼ばれ、1863年にイギリスのロンドンに世界初の協会が発足し、少しずつ世界中に広まった。（221字）
