Rather than memorizing dialogues, you worked on understanding what happened, organizing the information, and explaining it clearly to someone else.

This time, you listened carefully, took notes, and practiced retelling the story in your own words.
The story focused on conversations between Shingo and Annisa about soccer, traveling abroad, and helping others.
Example: Shingo is talking to Annisa at a café. She is watching a soccer game on her smartphone. When she asks him if he is busy, Shingo wants to say, “I’m meeting a friend here later.” He can’t choose the right expression.
Shingo is talking with Annisa about soccer. They are talking about Japan and America’s women’s soccer. She asks him if he goes abroad often. When Shingo hears that, he wants to say, “I went to America to film a TV show last year.” He can’t choose the right expression.
Shingo and Annisa are watching Japan’s national team game on a smartphone. The sports announcer says Japan’s supporters are cleaning up their area of the stands. He also says, “It’s good for everyone to help out.” Unfortunately, Shingo can’t understand the last part clearly.
Shingo and Annisa are talking about women’s soccer. She says women’s soccer is becoming popular little by little in Indonesia. She also says female soccer players can be a great inspiration for young girls. Shingo can’t understand the last part, so he wants to say, “Say that last part again,” but he can’t say it in English.

Exercise-2
You completed short conversations together and practiced role-playing without looking at the answers.

In pair activities, you practiced asking and answering questions using the target expressions naturally.
The goal was not only to learn the grammar, but also to use it smoothly in communication.
