Lesson report MEL-5 May 19, 2026

Hello, Class! This is Towako from MEL School.
It's Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

How are you doing?

Yesterday, many of you were absent because of your school exams.
Good luck to everyone in the middle of testing!

It has suddenly become much hotter these past few days, so please take care of yourselves, stay hydrated, and get enough rest.

Even during busy times, small but steady practice makes a big difference.

See you next week!

Towako

ELST

Reading A2.1 #5 About dinosaurs

This time, you worked on a reading passage about dinosaurs.

First, you practiced reading individually, then did pair repeating to improve both pronunciation and fluency.

After reading, you talked with a partner about what you learned from the article.

Learning English is not only about understanding the text, but also about being able to explain what you learned in your own words.

Q Skills for Success Reading and Writing Level 1

Unit 1 What is the future of work?
READING 1: Robots at Work

We continued exploring the topic of the future of work and reviewed what we learned in the previous lesson.

In CATEGORIZE, you thought about which tasks are better suited for humans and which can be done by robots.

We also studied a critical thinking strategy: classifying.

Being able to group information logically is an important academic skill, especially when discussing complex topics.

After watching the video and completing the exercises, you worked in pairs to share your ideas.

WRITE WHAT YOU THINK

Finally, you discussed questions with a partner and wrote your own response in three sentences.

At MEL-5, expressing your own ideas clearly and logically in English is an important goal.

Even short writing practice helps strengthen your ability to think and communicate in English.
