(p. 34-) Lesson 25

Review: Shadowing. => Students try retelling in pairs.

Example: Matt comes to Shingo’s house and asks a favor. Matt wants to buy some flowers for Aunt Charlotte for Mother’s Day and keep it a secret. Shingo wants to say, “Your hope is to surprise Charlotte.” He instead says, “Your hope is … surprising….”

Shingo is talking with Matt about Mother’s Day. When Matt asks Shingo about a present for his mom, he wants to say, “I’ll get her something to eat.” He instead says, “I’ll get her eating to….”

Shingo is watching a video in English about flowers as gifts. The woman in the video says, “I went to France to learn more about this flower.” Shingo can’t understand the meaning.

Shingo is at a flower shop with Matt. When Matt asks Shingo about the suzuran flowers, he tries to remember their English name. He wants to say, “Give me a second,” but he instead says, “Please stop.”

(p. 58) #2 Study the questions (1) (2) and (4) together.（Skip #3） => Work in pairs. Repeat a partner’s answer.

 

#3-a. Complete the text individually. => Read and check.

#3-b. Have them close the textbook. The teacher reads one of the questions at a time. Students write the answers in the chat room.

#3-a. Pair repeating. Convert the pronoun ‘I/my/me’ into ‘you/your/you’.
