Hello, Class! This is Towako from MEL School.
How are you doing?
This week, we continued Chapter 34 of Bridge Work -3, focusing on relative clauses, verb tenses, and how to express ideas accurately and naturally.
We also practiced vocabulary related to applications and participation, worked with everyday conversations, and explored how different grammatical structures can express similar meanings.
Our goal was to move beyond understanding grammar rules and become more confident using them in real communication.
See you next week!

<Lesson Review>
ELST Listening B1.2 #1
We listened to the conversation, answered comprehension questions, and checked important expressions before practicing pair role-play.
Remember to pay attention not only to individual words but also to the speaker's intentions and the context of the conversation.
Bridge Work -3
Chapter 34 Unit 2: She is the girl I've been talking about.
Vocabulary in Use (p. 143)
We reviewed vocabulary related to applications and participation, completed the text, and practiced pair repeating.
The aim was to understand how these expressions are used in context rather than memorizing isolated words.
Paraphrasing and Relative Clauses (p. 141)
We studied different ways of expressing similar ideas and reviewed relative pronouns, including who, whom, whose, and which.
We also discussed the difference between defining and non-defining relative clauses.
Remember that commas can change how a relative clause contributes to the meaning of a sentence.
Grammar and Communication 3 (p. 142)
We practiced using relative clauses with appropriate verb tenses.
After listening and reproducing the sentences orally, we typed them in the chat room and completed two conversation exercises.
The key was to understand when an action happens and how the verb tense relates to the rest of the sentence.
We also reviewed the use of the passive voice to describe facts and processes.
