Hello, Everyone!

It was a national holiday today, wasn’t it? It was National Foundation Day!

I’m so sorry, though, that you had to wait for the class to start, and I’m so grateful to you for being so understanding.

Warm-up:

Have you finished your homework? etc.

Demonstrate how to ask and answer. => Work in pairs. => Write and post a report about a partner, as follows:

Please ask your partner the following four questions, and write a report about his/her answers here:

  1. Have you . . . ? => He/She . . .
  2. When did you . . . ? => He/She . . .
  3. When are you going to . . .? => He/She . . .
  4. What (else) did you do today? => He/She

Lessons 137 and 138  

1. Talk about the picture.

2. Listen to the story.

3. Talk about the story. Pick a few students to retell the story. => (Focus on the content and communicate with others using English)

4. Repeat with the textbook closed.

5. Think about chunks with Japanese translation. (Understanding the meaning.)

6. Teacher reads the text chunk by chunk and students repeat. Teacher gives explanation where necessary. e.g. I’m a big fan of his. / I’m a big fan of hers. / I’m a big fan of yours. / I’m a big fan of theirs. / He’s a good friend of mine.
