Vocabulary: someone, gate, shrine, on their way

Talk about the picture: Fiona and Kento find someone at the gate of a small shrine on their way home from school.

Listen to the story and ask questions: What do Fiona and Kento find at the gate of a small shrine? – They find a tengu. What is the tengu’s goal? – His goal is to win the sumo tournament. 

Repeat the lines without looking at the textbook.

Check reading. => Role-play in pairs. Take turns.

Fiona and Kento find a tengu on their way home from school.

The tengu says his goal is to win the sumo tournament. 

Fiona is trying matcha green tea with Shota at a Japanese café.

She likes anko, but she doesn’t like matcha because it’s bitter.
