今日は基礎英語の文法でCanとWhereをやりましたね!前回の学びと結びつけて考え、法則があることを確認しました。You can, I canの文章が出てきたらCan you, Can Iとひっくり返して文章にしてみてください!練習するうちに自然とできるようになっちゃいますよ!
ディクテーションは大文字、小文字、コンマやピリオドなどのパンクチュエーションに気をつける話をしましたね。

よく復習をして、ELSTも引き続き頑張りましょう!

Listen and take notes. => Describe the situation according to the notes. The teacher shares the example. => Students try retelling in pairs.

 

Example: Shingo was at a 100-yen shop. He met Annisa there. She is from Indonesia. She was shopping for her new life in Japan. She already had a lot of items in her shopping basket. She thought she should probably stop buying more things. She asked Shingo, “What are you shopping for, Shingo?” He wanted to say, “Let me see…,” but he couldn’t say anything.

質問と答え、そしてリスニングメモからリテリングをする練習をしました!

Monday: The two Kens switched their bodies. Were they able to fix it?

-       No, they weren’t.

✅ American Ken has Japanese Ken’s face, and Japanese Ken has American Ken’s face now. American Ken’s karate coach says, “Ken! It’s time! Let’s go!”

 

Tuesday: What do both Kens think about being each other’s bodies?

-       They think they have no choice.

✅American Ken says, “I can be you.” He also says, “And you can be me!” They both think they have no choice.

 

Wednesday: Can American Ken speak Japanese?

-       No, he can’t.

 

✅American Ken loves Japan, but he can’t speak Japanese. American Ken has Japanese Ken’s mouth. So, he thinks it may be OK.

 

Thursday: Why does Hinako say to American Ken, “Silly!”

-       She says it because American Ken says, “Where do you live?” Japanese Ken is Hinako’s neighbor.

✅Japanese Ken is Hinako’s neighbor, but American Ken doesn’t know that. When he says to Hinako, “Where do you live?”, she says, “I’m your neighbor, silly!
