Talk about the picture. => Listen to the story and answer the questions:

What do the students need to do?  =>  They need to find two new members to make a group of three. 

Who does Yoshiro want to invite to his group? Why? => He wants to invite Kotone because she is really smart and will make them work harder.

Who is going to ask Kotone to join them? => Yoshiro is because Akio is too shy to do it. 


Write down the questions. => Ask and answer in pairs. => Overlapping

(p. 79) Check ‘Grammar Practice’. 

(p. 78) Useful Chunks: Use the chunks to make the sentences. 

Work in pairs and post a report. What makes you laugh? What made you laugh recently? What makes you cry? What made you cry recently?
