(p. 84-) Lesson 178

Today’s Scene: Have a student read it.

Vocabulary: empty

*Write the words and phrases on the board. 

Talk about the picture: Kento has a letter in his hand, and Minori looks excited. They are in the empty classroom together. 

Listen to the story and ask questions: Where was the letter? – It was in Kento’s shoe box. Who is the letter from? – They don’t know.

Check reading. => Role-play in pairs. Take turns.

Dictation: 

Kento brings Minori to the empty classroom to show her a letter.

It was in his shoe box, and it looks like a love letter from someone.

Fiona and Shota are on the way home from the park in the evening.

Fiona has a sumo match against Tengu, and she wins again.

Presentation on February 16th.  => Write and submit the draft by the 12th.

#3-a. Have a student read the instruction. => Complete the sentences together. Practice how to ask questions. => Work in pairs. Repeat a partner’s answer and take notes. => Change partners and ask them about the previous partners. => Write a report about the partner’s previous partner and share. The students check if the reports are right and give comments.
